Hikvision
System Design & Product Supply for
Malaysian Partners

FST Security Systems helps authorised system integrators and prime contractors turn customer requirements into practical Hikvision system specifications and project quotations. Our services cover agreed assessment, solution design, equipment selection and product supply for projects across Malaysia.

Start with your customer’s project brief and available drawings. If the design is already complete, submit your bill of quantities (BQ), bill of materials (BOM) or equipment list for a project-based quotation.

Project Support
for System Integrators & Prime Contractors

FST supports businesses delivering security projects for their customers. We help partners assess requirements, select compatible equipment and prepare a clearly defined supply specification. The appointed partner remains responsible for site validation, installation, configuration, commissioning and end-customer support.

Support for Existing Authorised Partners

Existing authorised partners can request support for new systems, upgrades, migrations and multisite projects. The scope depends on the customer’s objectives, existing infrastructure and available project information.

Partner support may include:

. Review of project requirements and existing equipment.
. Hikvision system architecture and equipment specifications.
. AI analytics, recording and software compatibility checks.
. Equipment schedules, project quotations and supply coordination.

Partnership Applications for New Business Partners

System integrators, prime contractors and other eligible businesses can apply to become an FST partner. Share your company’s services, technical capabilities, operating areas and current project opportunities so we can assess the appropriate working arrangement.

Partnership applications are subject to review. Approval, project support, pricing and commercial terms are confirmed separately.

Hikvision
System Assessment, Design & Specification

A suitable security system begins with the events, areas and operational requirements that matter to the customer. FST develops the agreed specification around those requirements, considering equipment compatibility, site conditions, recording, analytics and future expansion.

Project Requirements & Existing-System Review

For an existing site, we assess the information provided about cameras, recorders, cabling, networking and software. This helps identify components that may be retained and areas requiring further investigation or replacement.

Useful starting information includes:

. Site drawings, floor plans and proposed monitoring locations.
. Existing camera, recorder and software models.
. Security, safety and operational objectives.
. Recording-retention and image-detail requirements.
. Project budget, programme and planned expansion.

Recommendations based on drawings or remote consultation remain subject to site verification by the appointed partner.

Camera, Recorder & AI Analytics Selection

FST helps match cameras and recorders to the required coverage, lighting, image detail and analytics. Depending on the application, analysis may run at the camera, recorder or another supported processing platform.

We check relevant design factors such as:

. Camera type, lens, mounting position and environmental suitability.
. Required detection, search and event-response functions.
. Recording inputs and simultaneous AI-processing capacity.
. Supported combinations of models, firmware and software.

A recorder’s camera-input count does not establish how many streams it can analyse simultaneously. Required AI functions and channel capacities must be verified separately.

Storage, Network, Power & Software Requirements

The supporting infrastructure must accommodate the proposed equipment and operating workload. FST assesses the agreed recording, networking, power and software requirements when developing the specification.

Considerations include video bandwidth, storage retention, PoE budgets, network uplinks, operator workstations and software licences. Where required, the design can also assess resilience, expansion capacity and centralised management through HikCentral Professional.

System Architecture, Equipment Schedules & BOM Preparation

The agreed design is translated into documentation that supports technical review and procurement. Deliverables depend on the commissioned scope and the information available.

These may include:

. A system architecture diagram.
. Indicative camera-coverage recommendations.
. Camera, recorder and software specifications.
. Equipment schedules, BQs or BOMs.
. Design assumptions, exclusions and outstanding verification items.

Final mounting positions, cable routes and installation details require site validation.

Project Quotations & Hikvision Product Supply

FST prepares project-based Hikvision equipment quotations for authorised partners. Submit an existing specification or request pricing against an agreed FST design. Quotations identify the specified models, quantities, availability, delivery arrangements and applicable commercial terms.

Submit Your BQ, BOM or Equipment List

Partners with completed specifications can submit their equipment requirements directly for quotation. A clear schedule helps us identify missing information and prepare a more accurate commercial response.

Please include:

. Exact model numbers and quantities.
. Required accessories, storage and software licences.
. Project location and requested delivery date.
. Whether equivalent models may be proposed.
. Any mandatory technical or tender requirements.

Where compatibility review or redesign is required, we will clarify the additional scope before proceeding.

Request Pricing for an FST-Designed Solution

When FST has prepared the agreed system specification, we can develop a quotation against the approved equipment schedule. This connects the proposed technical design with the quantities and products required for procurement.

Review the quotation alongside its assumptions, exclusions and optional items. Changes to the required functions, quantities or retention period may require a revised specification and price.

Product Availability, Delivery & Warranty Arrangements

Product availability and delivery dates are confirmed during the quotation and ordering process. Specialised or non-stock equipment may require additional procurement time.

The formal quotation or order documentation should confirm:

. Models, quantities and included accessories.
. Stock status and estimated delivery arrangements.
. Payment terms and quotation validity.
. Applicable warranty coverage and claim procedures.
. Relevant exclusions and partner responsibilities.

Website information does not constitute a stock reservation or delivery commitment.

How Our
Partner Project Process Works

Our process connects the customer’s requirements with an agreed design scope, equipment specification and commercial quotation. The level of assessment and documentation is established before detailed work begins.

1. Share Your Project Requirements

Submit the customer brief, available drawings, existing-system details and required functions. Explain what the customer needs to monitor, detect, investigate or manage, together with the budget and intended completion date.

If some information is unavailable, identify the gaps so we can advise on the next assessment step.

2. Agree the Assessment & Design Scope

FST reviews the initial information and proposes the appropriate scope of work. This may involve remote consultation, document review, a site assessment or detailed system design.

Before work begins, agree the deliverables, required inputs, applicable fees and responsibilities of each party.

3. Review the Proposed System Specification

The partner reviews the proposed architecture, equipment selection and design assumptions against the customer’s requirements.

This stage should resolve questions about coverage, analytics compatibility, simultaneous processing capacity, recording retention and operator workflows. Applications requiring scene testing should be validated before the final specification is approved.

4. Confirm the Equipment Quotation

FST prepares the project quotation against the agreed specification. The partner reviews the equipment, quantities, availability, delivery arrangements and commercial terms before placing an order.

Any requested changes should be reflected in the revised quotation or written order confirmation.

5. Coordinate Product Supply & Delivery

Following order acceptance and fulfilment of the agreed commercial conditions, FST coordinates the supply and delivery of the specified equipment.

The appointed partner manages installation, configuration, commissioning and customer handover. Any additional assistance from FST must be included in the agreed scope.

Service Scope,
Fees & Partner Responsibilities

Clear responsibilities help avoid gaps between design, procurement and installation. Each project should identify what FST will provide, what the partner will deliver and which matters require customer approval.

Assessment & Detailed Design Fees

Site assessments and detailed design work may attract professional fees. The scope, deliverables and charges should be agreed before work begins.

Any arrangement to credit assessment or design fees against a subsequent product order must be confirmed in writing. Submitting an enquiry does not automatically include free assessment or detailed engineering work.

Partner Eligibility & Minimum Product Orders

Project-design and product-supply services are available to authorised FST business partners. Minimum product-order requirements and project-pricing eligibility apply.

Confirm the applicable requirements with FST when submitting the project or equipment schedule. Prospective partners should complete the partnership application process before relying on partner pricing or supply arrangements.

Installation, Commissioning & End-Customer Support

FST’s current role covers the agreed assessment, design, specification, quotation and product-supply services. The appointed partner remains responsible for delivering the installation and supporting the end customer.

Partner responsibilities include:

. Final site measurements and design validation.
. Installation, cabling, networking and device configuration.
. Analytics setup, scene testing and acceptance checks.
. Commissioning, customer training and handover.
. Ongoing maintenance and end-customer support.

Frequently Asked Questions
